Reviews
Fried Green Tomatoes were very bland including the aioli which was odd.
Crab Cake Benedict was even more bland.
The lobster omelette was the star and the Grits are good alone.
The music and ambiance was great and my server Yaya should be cloned and put in every restaurant. She made the experience pleasant considering the food was not up to par.
Nice cafe spot for breakfast or lunch but not really a “brunch” spot in terms of energy and grown ups only.
Place is not that big so the wait without a reservation was about 30mins and for some reason they weren’t sitting people outside on a regular, sunny day.
The lobster omelette and egg meals were solid and it comes with a good, fluffy, buttery biscuit. Highly recommend the pancakes! Very warm, fluffy, buttery and flavorful. The french toast was just as good. Coffee was regular. The kids burger and fries was dry…
Service was great which made up for the wait.
Cool Little NOLA inspired Sunday Brunch Spot To Try ! Upon entering you could see people everywhere sitting, stand and of course eating ! This place was popping, we did have a slight wait (approx. 25 mins) we were Sat near the bar at a two top table. We were greeted after several minutes, which gave us a moment to settle and glance at the Daily special menu and the regular menu. So many options ! We ordered a bottle of champagne and had 1 options for juice, worked out well. We ordered chicken and waffles, peach cobbler French toast and Cajun hash. Everything was pleasant. Service was good. We will be coming back for Sunday Brunch. Next shrimp and grits!!
Great first experience, had to wait a while for a table, but afterwards I totally understood why. Service was awesome (YaYa) took excellent care of our table. Food came out fast, everything was fresh and hot. Food was Delicious and I cannot wait for the next visit. I definitely recommend this place. Please be ready to wait. It’s totally worth it 😎
Felt welcome & cozy right away. Visited on a Friday morning, solo. Delicious Carmel latte. Wonderful, friendly, server, Chase. Food is always fresh, looks wonderful tastes even better!
One of our favs for brunch..Food is always amazeballs! We were able to get seated quickly on a Saturday morning …We had the catfish Benedict, small gumbo and chicken & waffles. The cheddar stone grits are some of the best I’ve ever had! I appreciate the way the menu differs from most local places!
The food at French toast bistro is mostly good. I wish they had some more savory items on the menu/ a bigger selection. Overall, it's very pricey to dine here. An avocado toast ( containing only one slice of bread) will cost you 14$. If you were to purchase the ingredients for this dish would likely be under 2$ and it's really not difficult to make. The upcharge is too high for the quality of food presented. The ( cheap non maple) syrup is served in plastic cups. Not acceptable for the price you pay
The cafe plays non family friendly music from the 2010s.
Other than that, halfway through our meal someone started vacuuming the carpet. It wasn't even close to their closing time. It was so loud on top of the loud music we could barely have a conversation. On top of that they put down these black shades blocking all the sunlight from entering the Cafe, a complete bummer. The service was kind.
We've ordered from here before and they messed up a bunch of orders which caused us to have to drive back and forth on a Sunday morning due to their mistake. Wanted to give this place another shot and see what it's like in person.
The pancakes were reheated. I could tell because they were hotter than a pancake fresh out of the pan. They were soggy too
Not a fan of chicken and waffles with a chicken breast, I prefer wings or legs. This came with a breast. The Mac n cheese was cold. Wasn't impressed. Great menu and atmosphere, food just didn't live up to the hype, and we drove 45 minutes …
